Answers to Some Basic Questions |
| How much will my website cost?
Most of the websites I’ve created have ranged from $900 to $4500, with most of them less than $2,000. I am always happy to help you figure out what you need and how you can save money on the cost. Every website is different, so I work with each client to give them the most for their budget. Another "cost" to factor in is the time you'll save by working with me because I know how to explain what you need to know in easy-to-understand terms. Be Careful: If you can find someone to do it for much less than that, you’ll probably get what you pay for: an unprofessional, ineffective website. Or your designer will disappear halfway through the project. Or you won’t be able to figure out how to update your site as your company grows or modifies its course. Or your next designer won’t be able to unravel the mess behind the scenes, where you can’t see it. What do I need to know before talking to you about a possible website? You don’t need to know anything about websites. Depending on your type of business, I can offer you an outline to follow, which will help you gather the information that you need for the content of the website. You may also wish to review the information by going to How It Works: The Process of Getting Your New or Revised Website. What does it take to get started? How long does it take to get a website? It depends on what you want and need. A very basic website can take as little as a few days, and typical websites for my clients take 4 to 12 weeks. What do you mean by a basic website? A website can be as simple as an online version of a one-page flyer (for a one-time event, for example) or it can be a more “normal” basic website that includes a home (first) page and several other pages, with some or all of them having photos or drawings, text, and links to other pages or other websites. Basic websites often include forms for your customers to request information or to sign up for a newsletter, and some websites include online selling of one or two items. As always, however, the website you need will depend on your specific business needs. Why should I choose Small World Web Svcs to build my website? Here are eight good reasons to do business with me, based on my own business values and qualifications and on feedback from clients: 1. I know how to make it easy. 2. I believe in Integrity. 3. I have great experience and education. 4. I know how to talk to other humans. 5. I offer fair prices. I am not the cheapest (like your cousin!), but I am not an ultra expensive design firm, either. My clients are small businesses, and I like it that way. You’ll get everything you need at a reasonable cost, but you won’t be paying for: a flashy office, a full-time staff, or high advertising costs. I like to keep it simple.
I believe in what I do, I love what I do, and I’ve received great feedback from my clients. All of that translates into websites that company owners are proud to show off to interested visitors, many of whom are ready to engage in business after viewing the websites. 8. I make the world a better place by donating. I give part of my profits to nonprofits and worthy causes. This year, I’ve donated to Amnesty International, Southern Poverty Law Center, and have sent smaller donations to several other organizations. You’ll make the world a better place by using my services. What if I have other questions? You probably will, and I am happy to answer them all. In easy-to-understand language. I promise. And I promise you’ll be glad you asked me to design your website. If you want to take a look at the overall process I use with clients, go to my How It Works page. Warm regards,
