Websites

Brochure websites: A single-page website (for example, Nustart-Home-Inspection) that includes the graphics and text of your existing collateral. Starting at $299.

Template websites: A website based on an existing design (select a design template from Template Choices). Includes a home page, three or more additional pages, replacement with your own photos and text. Starting at $799.

Basic Custom-Designed Websites: Starting at $899. Quotes available upon request.

Reliable Website Hosting

The behind-the-scenes file storage and coordination that I use is available from a very basic and simple level up through coordination of databases and user management of email systems and special features. The service I use is easy to reach, easy to talk to, and knows how to keep things working. Starting at $120/year (includes a domain name, see below) .

Domain Name Services

Most of the time, the domain name (www.xxxxx.com) is part of the website hosting service. I can help you find a good domain name, or I can use one that you already have. $15/year (or free with one year of my hosting services, see above) .

Search Engine Optimization

If it's important that people find your website when they are roaming around the Internet looking for a product or service, your website needs to be "optimized." I know how to do this, and I also have other resources that can help, as well. $75/hour.

Marketing/PR Services

For excellent marketing and public relations services, I recommend: Brickman Marketing. It won't cost a thing to explore her website, and she's always happy to answer questions.

Constant Contact is an excellent way to capture, organize, and manage client information, including email addresses. You can feature a signup form on your website (and on blogs and other venues, too), and send newsletters, coupons, valuable reports, or any other information you wish to send to your clients.

Special Website Features

As you probably know, the possibilities for websites are unlimited, and more technology tricks are being developed every day. Let me help you evaluate what can work for you, as well as determining what you don't need. Here's a small sample of what's available:

• PayPal is probably the easiest and most affordable way to sell one or more items online, or to accept payments or donations.
• Content management that allows you to update all or parts of your website
• Newsletters - signups and management
• Blogs (online "journals" that are easy to update)
• Online scheduling systems
• Forms for everything imaginable, from simple questionnaires and signups through complex transactions
• Ecommerce, which includes selling items, services, and software via electronic payment such as credit card nda electronic checks, from a simple PayPal donation system through a store or catalog of hundreds or even thousands of items with inventory systems and even automatic shipping systems.
• Graphics - Video, slideshows, audio, or special graphics and photos, for presenting information in a clearer or more interesting way
  
• Microsites, separate from your main website and which focus on one aspect or product (and show up better in random searches)
• Guest books
• Password-protected areas (Great for membership groups, such homeowners associations, when you want only specific people to access particular pages or areas of the website.)
• Tracking the activity on your website, such as daily, weekly, or monthly frequency of visitors
• Links - shared, incoming, or outgoing. The more people who can link to your website, the more often you'll appear in the search engines.

Updating and Maintaining Your Website

If you want to keep your website up to date, if if there is a section of your website you wish to update regularly, or even entire pages that you wish to add or remove, I provide two options:

1. By installing Adobe Contribute software, you will have the ability to change what’s on your website without risking damage to the design and integrity of the files. Anyone who knows how to use MS Word will be able to do this easily. If you choose this option, I can provide the software at best possible cost. (You can view or order it at a discount through my Amazon.com link: Adobe Contribute CS3 at Amazon.com)  Note: You can use either the CS3 version or the CS4 version.

2. I will make updates for you, and will charge you in 15-minute increments. Most simple changes to text will take only a few minutes. Cost is $20 for each 15-minute increment, or $75 for an hour.

Content Writing and Editing

If you are not confident that you know how to write the best possible text for your website pages, I can help. Starting at $75/hour.

• Researching and discovering sources for additional content
• Writing clearly and compellingly for your specific audience
• Using specific words and phrases so that your site will be discovered by more people (search engine optimization, see below)
